KENNEL BOARDING SETUP

To set up kennels/cages for use in the Hospital module:

  • Create an appointment booking Room;

  • Create an Appointment Book View that displays this appointment booking Room;

  • Configure your available individual kennels in Hospital settings;

  • Create a Ward View in Hospital settings that displays the individual kennels; and

  • Link the Appointment Book View and Ward View to each other.

  • Set up a Room in Appointment Book settings for boarding bookings. This will later be displayed as the room in which bookings are made.

  • Set up a Boarding View in the Appointment Book settings and add the boarding room to this view. This will later be linked to your Hospital Ward View.

  • Create a Ward View in Hospital settings and link to the Appointment Book Boarding View. You will need to link the Appointment View created in item 2 above and select a branch before you can save the View. The Selectable Kennels will be added later.

  • Set up all available Kennels in Hospital settings – Add the above Ward View name as Ward Name text.

  • Re-display the Ward View, click on the relevant Ward and add the kennels.

To book into Kennels:

Before you begin booking into kennels, create an Appointment Type for kennel bookings.

  1. Click the Hospital tile on the Assisi Desktop.

  2. Select the relevant View if there is more than one View available. Kennel availability will be displayed on the left-hand side of the screen and the booking room will be displayed on the right-hand side of the screen.

  3. Select the start date for the booking.

  4. Double click an available kennel and click Select Kennel. Make sure that you do this before booking into the room.

  5. Once the kennel has been reserved, double click a slot in the room and complete the booking details. Check the hospital details – in particular the start date and expected discharge date and save the booking.

Note: You can drag admission appointment details from one appointment slot to another but you cannot drag and drop reserved kennel slots. You can, however, edit the appointment (or the kennel booking) and change the kennel ID on the Hospital Details section of the booking screen.

You can access all Hospital bookings from the Hospital tile on the Desktop or access a specific animal’s booking details by clicking the Hospital tile on the Animal Screen.
