CONNECTING TO YOUR ONLINE SERVER

TO LOG INTO WINDOWS

When we configure an online server, we set up the server with the relevant number of Windows users for your practice/s. These usernames comprise of a letter A followed by a user number (A1, A2, etc)

Windows Usernames

Each workstation in your practices will have been given its own Windows username on your online server and that username should always be used for that workstation. Each Windows username links to a default branch, stock location and printers, etc, so it is important that you log on with your correct username.

Only one user at a time can log on to a specific Windows user.

Assisi Cloud Shortcut

Depending upon the type of workstation that you are using, a Windows RDP session will be configured by our engineer wherever possible, and saved as a shortcut named Assisi Cloud on your desktop. If this is so, you will be able to double-click this shortcut to connect to your server, as your Windows username and password will already be built-in to that shortcut.

Browser Connection

Each practice will also be given a connection URL (internet web address) which can alternatively be used to connect to your on-line server. You can connect using this web address directly from your internet browser if an RDP connection is not available.

Type in # (URL) # and press the Enter key. ### Insert Image ###

At the Windows logon screen, enter your Windows username (A number) and password – see below - and click Log on.

The following users will have been set up on your server.

The Password for all of your usernames is: # Password #

This password is case sensitive - don’t forget the ### at the end as too many incorrect attempts may lock you out.

Only one person at a time can log on to a specific Windows user.

WINDOWS SERVER DESKTOP

Once you have connected to your server, in the top right-hand corner of the server desktop will be a link to the Assisi Veterinary System.

TO LOG INTO ASSISI

  1. Single-click this Assisi shortcut on the sidebar and the Assisi login screen
    will be displayed.

  2. Enter your Assisi Username and Password. These will already
    have been set up by your practice from within the application. Passwords are
    case sensitive.

  3. Click Login or press the Enter key.

TO CHANGE USER IN ASSISI

The current Username is displayed in the top right-hand corner of the Assisi Desktop.

If you wish to change users, click this display box and the login prompt will be redisplayed. Log in with the new Username and Password.

TO CLOSE ASSISI

Click the cross in the top right-hand corner of the Assisi Desktop.

TO LOG OFF YOUR ONLINE SERVER

It is important that you close the session correctly on the Windows server and not just disconnect by clicking the cross on the connection bar at the top of the screen, as this would leave the session open for your Windows user and can cause difficulty the next time that you attempt to connect. Instead, log off the server as follows.

  1. Once you have closed all applications/documents, click the Windows button in the top right-hand corner of the screen to display the logoff prompt.

  2. Click Logoff.

  3. At the Do you wish to quit your session? prompt, click Yes.

  1. This releases the session for your user so that it is available the next time that you attempt to connect.
